Sample Itinerary

10 DAY TRIP

All of our Safaris and Kilimanjaro Treks are tailor-made adventures to fit your schedule and your budget.

Day 1: Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania

Upon arrival in Arusha, Tanzania at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by Allan himself and his team who will help you gather your belongings and assist at customs and immigration. Then, you will be transferred to a beautiful lodge for your first overnight in Africa. (Overnight at Gran Melia Hotel.)

Day 2: Arusha National Park

Today after breakfast we will have a quick briefing overview of our outline itinerary and after that we will head to Arusha National Park for a game drive. This is the smallest park but has incredibly diverse scenery and wildlife. Game drive through lush forest where rare black and white colobus monkeys might be spotted in the trees. Also keep an eye out for buffalo, giraffes, hippos, waterbucks and so many species of birds. We will have lunch at the picnic site. Head back to the lodge later this afternoon for relaxing time. Days 3: Tarangire National Park

Departing from Arusha, we will drive across the Maasai village on our way to Tarangire National Park, which is a great park with higher concentrations of wildlife. From our luxury tented camp, you will have excellent and easy access to the wildlife. This park is famous for its majestic Baobab trees, large groups of Elephants, and Acacia tortilla trees. On the game drive, you might be able to spot groups of antelopes such as Impalas, Water-buck, Gerenuk, and Dik-Dik. Also, we will be searching for animals like Warthog, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Zebra, Giraffe, and over 300 species of birds. You might be lucky enough to spot the African Pythons snake hanging on the acacia trees. We will take our lunch boxes with us and dinner will be served at the Camp. Day 4: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast this morning, will head to the park for a game drive and continue to search for animals that we have not seen yet. We will take lunch boxes with us. Lunch will be at a picnic site and dinner at the lodge. (Overnight at the Retreat Lodge - Karatu town)

Days 5: Ngorongoro NDUTU area

After breakfast this morning, we will head out to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we will stop at Ngorongoro gate for park fees registration and thereafter, will continue driving, wildlife viewing as we travel. We will make a brief stop at a fascinating archeological museum where the remains of the earliest human being were discovered in this area 3 million years ago (Olduvai Gorge. After visiting the Museum, we will continue to drive and make our way through the Great Rift Valley, Maasai Country to the Ndutu area. We will visit the fascinating Maasai tribe and view their dancing and singing and also learn about their way of life. (Overnight at Angata tented camp - ndutu migration)

Day 6: Ngorongoro NDUTU area

Today will have a full game drive, searching for migration of Wildebeest. It’s calving season for Wildebeest and Zebras here in Tanzania. Great time to see lots of Wildebeest and Zebras babies adventuring out and about. We might be able to spot baby wildebeests or zebras be born. And of course, it is an awesome time to see big cats. We will continue our search for other animals we haven’t yet seen. (Overnight at Angata tented camp ndutu migration)

Day 7: Central Serengeti

Will leave Ndutu area and drive to the central Serengeti. We will explore the great Serengeti for the next 2 days. Serengeti National Park is one of the largest and most famous parks in the world because of the annual migration of wildebeest. It covers nearly 6,000 square miles of grassland plains, savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and riverine forest.

If we are lucky enough, might spot the BIG FIVE animals: Lions, Rhinos, Elephants, Leopards, and the African Buffalo. There are also a lot of bird species in this park. The Serengeti National Park is also the home of the Cheetah, Hyena, Wildebeest, Zebra and so many others animals. We will take lunch boxes with us or go back to camp for lunch and dinner will be served at the camp. (Overnight at Angata tented camp in Central Serengeti)

Day 8: Central Serengeti

Today after breakfast, we will be driving in the central Serengeti. Hoping to see more wildlife in the central. Check out the Hippo pool in the park etc. (Overnight at Angata tented camp in Central Serengeti)

Day 9: Serengeti National Park

After an early departure, we will exit the great Serengeti heading to the Ngorongoro Crater, viewing wildlife as we travel. We will descend 2,000 feet to the base of the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of a game viewing. In this unique environment, we will search for a wide variety of wildlife such as black Rhino, Cheetahs, hippo, hyena, gazelle, including the big "Big Five" elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and African buffalo. We might also spot many species of birds including Kori Bustards, Marabou stork, Ostrich, crowned cranes and much more. Will have lunch at the picnic site. Head to the lodge/hotel in time for hot showers and dinner. A special treat awaits you this evening at our wonderful lodge. (Overnight Acacia Farm Lodge)

Day 10: Back to Arusha

Depart after breakfast and drive back to Arusha on time for a bit of shopping and a farewell lunch. Rest and relax before transfer to the international airport for your departing flight. (Day rooms at Lodge - optional)
